You want to learn how to breathe in a way that’s skillful, comfortable, that feels good inside, feels nourishing inside, at any time of the day.

"You want to learn how to breathe in a way that’s skillful, comfortable, that feels good inside, feels nourishing inside. Get so that you can tune into that, tap into that, access that, any time of the day. It’s good to stop at random times in the day and ask yourself, “Where’s the comfortable breath right now?” At the very beginning, you can clearly see how you can easily wander away from comfortable breathing, even though it’s so nearby and can do so much good for you. So it’s good to be able to make a resolve: Stop for a second and say, “I’m not going to do anything until I get that comfortable breath back.” Then see how long you can carry it. Because that’s an important tool in counteracting the unskillful members of the [mind's] committee."

Breathe in a way that feels refreshing, soothing and comfortable to find a deep and lasting happiness

Start with what you know. If you don't know what feels good, hold your breath for a while.
